What you don't know about papaya (paw paw)

The papaya has been regarded as one of the most valuable tropical fruits, with so many curative properties and natural benefits, both the ripe and unripe as well. It is an excellent tonic for  growing children, pregnant women and nursing mothers. It is an energy giving food.

 Here are a few of its benefits and curative properties;


  • for or digestive aid, there is a protein enzyme in the milky juice or latex, this enzymes is similar to  pepsin in the digestive action and is so powerful it can digest 200 times it's own weight in protein.

  •  For intestinal disorder, papain in the raw papaya is highly beneficial in the deficiency of gastric juice, excess of unhealthy mucus in the stomach, in dyspepsia and intestinal irritation, the ripe fruits if eaten regularly can correct habitual constipation, bleeding piles and chronic diarrhoea 
  • skin disorder, the juice of the raw papaya is  useful to several skin disorder, it is applied to pimples , abnormal outgrowth, warts and other skin diseases even ringworm, the juice helps to get rid of dark spots caused by the sun and makes the skin smooth.
  • menstrual irregularities , the unripe papaya helps the contraction of the muscle fibers of the womb, thus it's beneficial in securing proper menstrual flow, it is especially helpful in case of  cessation of menstruation due to cold
  • it is also used for round worms, throat disorders, spleen enlargement, cirrhosis of the liver and plenty more.
 You can still eat your pawpaw normally either ripe or unripe or eve as juice, for desserts, breakfast and even fruits salad .
